2022

A NEW CHAPTER
In January, Embark Group became a part of the Lloyds Banking Group and marks the start of a significant new chapter for Embark.
We will continue to operate as a separate business, but with the financial and support service backing from Lloyds.
2020

STOCKTRADING SERVICES
Originally formed in 1993, Stocktrade joined Embark in 2020. They provide corporate dealing services to large companies including those at the top of the FTSE100.
Stocktrade offer execution-only trading services from pension administration and share schemes, through to telephone and online dealing access for employees, advisers and shareholders.

A DIGITAL PORTAL FOR ADVISERS
In November 2020 we launched our premium service to financial advisers, to help them with managing their business and serving their client needs.
It offers advisers a wide range of investment solutions through our digital platform, along with award-winning service support to help them to build financial security for their clients retirement.

MULTI-ASSET FUNDS
Embark Investments offers the Horizon Fund range, five multi-asset portfolios designed to align with an investor's chosen risk profile.
After an investment strategy is set via one of the five portfolios, Embark Investments then oversees those investments via the use of strategic asset allocation models (provided by EV) and active investment management (provided by Columbia Threadneedle) to deliver long-term returns for investors.
2018

DIGITAL BENEFIT SOLUTIONS
Launched in January 2018, Vested helps companies reenergise their approach to employee benefits and meet the needs of their employees in an evolving working environment.
They offer a customisable online benefits portal that helps clients deliver, communicate and administer their workplace their workplace benefits to their employees, giving them better control and more diverse benefit choices.
2017

SELF-INVESTED PERSONAL PENSIONS
We acquired EBS Pensions Limited in May 2017 to further expand our Group SIPP and SSAS offering.
Rebranded as Embark Pensions, they offer a range of Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) through advisers to help meet their clients retirement needs.

RESEARCH CAPABILITY
The Adviser Centre joined the Embark Group in October 2016.
As a free-to-air research and consultancy service, The Adviser Centre is dedicated to supporting financial advisers in their fund selection work, with a special emphasis on helping them to assess investment suitability.

BESPOKE SELF-INVESTED PENSIONS
In July 2016 we acquired Rowanmoor Group PLC, further expanding our self-invested personal pension (SIPP) and small self-administered scheme (SSAS) administration capabilities.
The Rowanmoor business has been leaders in the member-directed pension market since 1979.
2014

TECHNOLOGY DEPLOYMENT
In September 2014 we commenced our partnership with leading global technology provider, FNZ. This relationship helps us to digitise our services and supports our operations.
Our first white-label pension launched in January 2015 for Nutmeg, the digital wealth manager. In February 2016, through acquisition, we obtained wrap platform capabilities.
In November 2017 we launched the Embark Platform - a low-cost and genuinely digital platform - to financial advisers, enabling them to deliver pension and investment services to the mass market.

IT ALL BEGAN...
In 2013 the Embark Group acquired a controlling stake in Hornbuckle, one of the UK’s leading independent specialist pension providers.
Our vision was to become the partner of choice for those in need of complex retirement solutions, offering maximum investment flexibility backed by technical expertise, risk control and quality client service. Today we distribute our products and services through a wide range of intermediary distribution partners, including independent financial advisers, wealth managers, employee benefits consultants and private banks.
