This role is within SIML, part of the Embark Group.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

As a Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in providing support to both the SIML business and the Distribution team through building, running and managing key MI reporting. This will be delivered through a combination of Business Objects reporting and Salesforce. A proven competency in Business Objects is essential and a strong knowledge of Salesforce is desirable. In addition to delivering timely and accurate Business MI, there will be a requirement to support new requirements from the Distribution team as required to support both management of the teams, modelling of progress, trend analysis and any new initiative reporting to help track successes against key measures. An ability to not only provide accurate data but, to also be able to draw meaningful conclusions from it to help drive insights and conversations based on what it is telling you.

Aligned closely to this will be the ability to configure and manage the importing of key data into Salesforce and subsequent reporting out of Salesforce to support the requirements of the Sales Remuneration Scheme.

There will be a high level of demand from the integration project to produce ad-hoc data out of the Data Warehouse to help with integration decisions.

The responsibilities within this role will also include supporting wider group initiatives/projects and integrations where data productions play a key role, ensuring that all data feeds provide clear accurate data as some will feed external data aggregation sources.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Develop & Produce internal MI for use across the business to track key metrics of business performance, shared across the business.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting and trend analysis for Board and Distribution meetings.
  • Production and management of all regular reporting and distribution to all key stakeholders (Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly etc)
  • Maintenance of SF environment incl, all changes and uploads delivered against required timescales.
  • Liaison with the Integration project to assist with ad-hoc data requests
  • Liaison with key third parties on production issues and data feeds
  • Ownership of all regular Business Objects reporting and delivery
  • Escalating any issues with regular MI and communication to all key parties.
  • Production and management of SOP’s for key processes
  • Management of production timeline and calendar to ensure all regular reporting delivered and managed/monitored.
  • Proven knowledge Using and managing Salesforce, including configuration.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formula creation, basic VBA an advantage
  • Ability to analyse large data sets, with a hunger to find answers and build solutions. Experience with Business Objects reporting is desirable.  
  • Ability to work well within a virtual team environment and build effective team relationships
  • The confidence to challenge established processes and procedures in a constructive way
  • Good knowledge of regulated advice business including rules and regulations
  • Proactive and inquisitive nature with the ability to innovate and challenge in support of the business model we are operating.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills developed in technically complex environments.
  • Time management and prioritisation skills to plan and organise own work to deliver objectives.
  • Experience of risk management and process monitoring preferably with a focus on an investment platform environment. 
  • Experience in Financial Services administration, preferably using WRAP Platform technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable but not essential.
