Pensions Assistant, SIPP Operations

This role is within Embark Services Limited, part of the Embark Group. 

 

What you’ll do

In your role as Pensions Assistant, you will be responsible for the processing of various aspects relating to individual members’ pension schemes. The accuracy and timeliness of such processing is paramount to ensure that Embark Services Limited complies with HMRC and other requirements in the course of providing pension scheme administration services.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Processing administration work accurately and timely
  • Using pre-determined procedures, following step by step guidance for processing varying aspect of clients’ pension arrangements
  • Working to given deadlines, ensuring all processing is right first time
  • Working in an organised and logical manner to ensure all KPIs are met and maintained
  • Willing to work on a variety of new tasks and with various systems
  • Ensuring company policy and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Demonstrating understanding of the customer outcome and relationship, assisting with the solution delivery and problem resolution, and work items across the SIPP lifecycle
  • Willing to work across teams as required based on work volumes
  • Actively participating in continuous process improvement 
  • Committing to and demonstrating ongoing professional development to ensure the ability to deliver detailed support across technical pension administration functions, regulatory evolution, business proposition developments, and platform functionality developments.

  

Who you are and the experience we’re looking for

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and use own initiative 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Demonstrable skills in following an organised, methodical and logical approach
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Sound education background, ideally to A-level
  • Ideally previous experience in a comparable financial services role.
  • Strong and responsible team player who works for the benefit of their team, the department and the Company.
