Product Analyst

This role is within Embark Corporate Services Limited, part of the Embark Group.

 

What you’ll do

At the direction of the Product Analyst, you will execute and track performance of the business’s products and their marketing; your focus will be on a particular segment of Embark Group's business (Platform or SIPP/SSAS or Investments, for example) and you will be expected to become a subject matter expert in those markets and of all matters pertaining to the product. You will be responsible for maintaining market data, competitor insights (features, pricing and USPs).

In this role, you will support the Product Marketing Manager in protecting and growing the brand, creating a differentiated and compelling positioning and content for an intermediated audience and the end client. You will be responsible for providing analysis on the customer, competitors and the wider market. You will develop tools to support this insight, interpreting and sharing with key internal and external stakeholders.

Your role will be split equally between a focus on supporting sales and growth and ensuring that we understand the performance of our propositions - for the benefit of customers, intermediaries and shareholders.


Key Accountabilities

  • Overseeing the performance of Embark products
  • Ensuring activity is measured against a clear set of KPIs
  • Aligning all input and output to sales and proposition (commercial) priorities, and to ensure good outcomes
  • Supporting the Product Marketing Manager in the development and delivery of all key marketing, POS and sales support content
  • Demonstrating the ability and creative skills to develop and protect the brand and its positioning, promise and values in relation to key customer groups
  • Acting as subject matter expert for the product
  • Creating and maintaining the marketing measurement framework to ensure all activity is benchmarked against a clear set of KPIs
  • Proposing integral new product propositions, including dimensions of customer experience, pricing, operational workflow, risk and compliance control
  • Demonstrating the ability to imagine and map customer journeys for any product, service or process effectively to needs and wants of clients.


Who you are and the experience we’re looking for

  • Established experience and track record of leading successful marketing functions that support the wider business strategy and proposition development
  • Ideally 5 years+ Financial Services experience
  • Good technical knowledge in one of our product area (pensions, investments or platform)
  • Used to high pace, regulated environments
  • Experience and knowledge in delivering product, propositions and marketing strategy, aligning content and activity to channel to maximise ROI
  • Detailed analytical skills
  • Creative flair and a passion for brands and marketing in financial services
  • Numerate with good verbal reasoning skills
  • Marketing degree or equivalent specialist marketing qualification; CII or Financial Services qualification preferred but not essential.
