This role is within ECSL, part of the Embark Group.

 

What you’ll do

 

As Head of Group Treasury & Regulatory, you will report to the Group CFO and manage all Treasury and Regulatory matters from a Group perspective in close collaboration with the various Business Units. You will act as a subject-matter expert in both functions. In terms of Treasury, your main responsibilities will be to manage liquidity risks, financial risks, banking relationship and working capital. From a Regulatory perspective, your main responsibilities will be to implement a framework that will ensure compliance with the regulatory rules at all times.

Technical expertise, proactivity and autonomy, communication, ambition, willingness and a hands-on Technical expertise, proactivity and autonomy, communication, ambition, willingness and a hands-on approach will be key to success in this role.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Treasury:

  • In charge of all day-to-day Treasury matters: Corporate/Client cash, payments, policies, borrowings, etc.;
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the banking infrastructure and act as the main point of contact for Banking providers (including risk assessment);
  • Daily / weekly / monthly cash management report;
  • Ensure adherence and compliance with internal controls, policies & procedures and develop strategies to maximise efficiencies;
  • Support financing negotiations and capital strategy formulation;
  • Manage the Treasury risk framework (fraud prevention, counterparty risk, market risk, etc.) in close collaboration with the Risk function;
  • Assist with the month-end close process in close collaboration with Financial Control (postings, controls, reports);
  • Assist with the annual external audit close process;
  • Assist with the budget & (cash-flow) forecasting process.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert, perform regulatory watch and ensure full compliance with the regulatory rules at all times;
  • Assist with the liaison with Regulatory bodies;
  • Responsible for monthly / quarterly regulatory reporting and coordination with the various Business Units within agreed deadlines;
  • Prepare and maintain ICAAP reports in close collaboration with the various Business Units (Pensions entities, Significant IFPRU firms, Group);
  • Assist with the annual external audit close process;
  • Assist with the budget & forecasting process.
  • Provide support to the Group CFO;
  • Provide Treasury & Regulatory analysis to Executive team / Board or any other Committees;
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with the ambition to develop further.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proactive thinking and a natural desire to improve and enhance.
  • Ability to design and deliver a strong financial control environment.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and banking relationships.
  • Previous experience working as a treasury manager.
  • A track record of developing strong financial control.
