 This role is within ECSL, part of the Embark Group.

 What you’ll do

This is a great opportunity to join a small but ambitious team as our Benefits Manager.

You’ll be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of our employee benefits, along with associated reporting requirements. You will work closely with the Head of Reward & Benefits, the Payroll Manager and, our Finance teams and our benefits providers, to deliver a high quality, professional service to our employee base.

This is an important role within a small team that provides a service directly to all Embark employees. The ability to work to deadlines with attention to detail and ability is essential. 

 Key Accountabilities

  • Manage employee benefit and flex programmes, delivering high quality products and service to all colleagues
  • Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop, administer and design new or modify existing benefits programmes
  • Manage benefit suppliers ensuring services are delivered efficiently representing value for money
  • Manage pensions policy and process ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for colleague recognition and discounts program me across the Group, providing easy to use processes
  • Own day to day colleague wellbeing activity, ensuring that colleagues and managers have access to relevant information and support
  • Ensure colleagues are kept informed of their benefits through regular and proactive communication and education
  • Lead the implementation and promotion of any new benefits / benefits-related HR projects or initiatives
  • Collate and provide relevant management information in a timely manner. Generating data in a format that is readily available to monitor trends and make recommendations.
  • Support the Payroll Manager and provide cover for operational running of the payroll service

As well as this, you will need to have:

  • Strong practical experience working in employee benefits, pensions
  • Experience in managing people, projects, processes and key stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely outcomes
  • Good working knowledge of pensions, including Auto enrolment
  • Experience of having worked successfully with HR and Finance Teams
  • Good working knowledge of payroll
  • A strong understanding of employment tax legislation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Ability to manage a varied work load to deadline and exceed these where possible
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail – do it well, first time
  • A curiosity to keep learning and improving what we do, positive opportunities for improvement in all we do
